Display GPX file

Four steps to display your GPX files:

  1. Install WordPress OSM plugin.
  2. Upload your geo logger file (gpx).
  3. Adjust the map an generate the OSM shortcode when you edit your artice / page.
  4. Add the OpenStreetMap shortcode in your post page adding the argument: file_list=”Address of gpx file on your domain”
[*osm_map_v3 map_center="48.3,14.836" zoom="8" width="95%" height="200" map_border="medium solid blue" file_list="../../../../wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Donauradweg_Passau_Wien.gpx" file_color_list="blue"]

* <= remove this star in the shortcode

Display a list of GPX files

If you want to display a list of GPX files just add them after a comma “,”

[*osm_map_v3 map_center="52.862,5.437" zoom="9" width="95%" height="450" map_border="thin solid grey" file_list="../../../../wp-content/uploads/osm_map/OpenStreetMap_GPX_red.gpx,../../../../wp-content/uploads/osm_map/OpenStreetMap_GPX_green.gpx,../../../../wp-content/uploads/osm_map/OpenStreetMap_GPX_blue.gpx" file_color_list="red,green,blue"]

* <= remove this star in the shortcode

If you are facing difficultis to get the relative path to your gpx file you can also use the absolut path (but SSL will fail):

Note: gpx file has to be on your own domain with the exact address of your WP blog!
